Eco Education

According to the EPA, ‘Environmental education is a process that allows individuals to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving, and take action to improve the environment.’   This process helps individuals or groups develop their eco-literacy and gives them the tools they need  to make well-informed, responsible decisions as  they become more aware of the environmental challenges that exist within their local & global communities. As a Certified Green Living Coach I offer several educational opportunities for those interested in sustainability.  These services cover a wide range of 'green'topics - Greening Your Pet Care, Earth Day, Recycling, Zero Waste, Minimalism, Eco Consumerism, etc.  They are available locally, on Long Island, and online  For more green living tips follow me on  Facebook  &  Instagram  and be sure to subscribe to my  Website  for your  FREE Green Living Planner .

Eco Coaching

As with any coaching style, the ultimate goal of green living coaching is to improve the health and wellness of the client.   One needs to identify areas that need improvement in terms of societal and environmental awareness and a clear idea on the paths to take in achieving this feat.  This is what a green living coach can expose you to.    Green living coaches use a unique approach to reach this goal by helping their clients create a lifestyle that results in improvement to their health, their immediate environments, and our planet  as a whole.   Green living coaches incorporate wellness & life coaching strategies to put their clients on a pathway that supports healthy living across domains while considering  the environmental impact of their every day choices.  They  provide the tools and resources that their clients need to achieve their green goals and make the most out of their healthy, green lifestyle.    One should have knowledge on environmental education and gen

What is Green Living?

There are various facets to our day to day activities, starting from what kind of food we eat, to what type of cloth we put on, to our power consumption capacity, to what technology we use in our everyday life, to what mode of transportation we take, to what investment we make. Green living is making choices that promote the sustainability of our health, our communities, and our environment.   I tend to view green living as a sort of continuum that is highly personalized and looks different for everyone involved.  I t is an extension of healthy living that helps people and the planet and is the act of living with the intent of interacting with the environment in a way that prevents as much harm to it as possible.   The goal is to change the purpose of how we live and create a balanced lifestyle that works with nature rather against it.  This is possible when personal awareness is tended to and eco-conscious choices are made in our daily lives.   Most people quit their pursuit of an eco-friendly lifestyle before they even begin.  Sometimes it's because they get overwhelmed by the abundance of environmental information available and don't know where to start.  Sometimes it's because they are under the impression that the only way to go green is to put solar panels on their roofs or purchase electric vehicles.  Others might be hesitant to go green because they think it's expensive.   I am here to bust through the green living myths holding people back and to help those  who are ready to live a life that supports their health and the health of our planet.   The green living services I offer are meant to help clients understand just how simple, affordable, and fun green living can be so that they can make meaningful changes that support their goals.  Hopefully, this blog will help you take those first or next steps in your own eco adventure!
